Illustration / Painting Approaches ll
The objectives of this course are divided into two essential areas of professional illustration. The development of (1) a systematic approach to solving a given illustration assignment, (2) design skills (composition, craftsmanship, and presentation). Weekly critiques evaluate each state of the process. This course will direct the learner to work independently in the classroom. The instructor will guide the learner in developing personal goals and projects to accomplish those goals in illustration.

Portrait Painting
This program offers students the opportunity to learn the design and technical skills to create visual solutions for magazines, books, advertisements, corporate logos, illustrations, web sites, multi-media, and many other applications. The Communication Art and Design program provides a balance in creative thinking, traditional hand skills, and Macintosh computer skills.

Through the use of tutorials and sequenced assignments, the learners explore 3-D rendering and animation. Strata 3D is our dominant software.

Multimedia
Production l
Multimedia is a powerful new form of communication. Through the use of tutorials and sequenced assignments, the learners explore the blending of graphics, sound, video, and animation to create presentations. Web design is included. All previous computer software skills, as well as new skills, will be brought to bear in creating higher level projects. The learners will learn to create Quicktime movies, manipulate sound files, import their 3-D work and creative interactive project exported to hard drives, disks, CD ROM, and paper.

Advanced Web Site Design
This course offers the student a greater array of web experiences. Create and upload to a remote server over 8 different websites. You will incorporate Flash projects, movies, tables, CSS and learn a host of other useful techniques.
