Book Buy Back

  • Students who purchased their textbooks at the ATCC Foundation Bookstore will have an opportunity to sell their textbooks at a Buy Back
  • Selling your textbooks is a great way to recapture some of the money spent on the book
  • Buy Back is held at the end of the fall and spring semesters
  • Buy Back is held at the Bookstore in room 305

There are several critical factors in determining the value of the textbook:

  • Books must be in good condition: binding, covers, and pages must be intact
  • If a disk is part of the text, it must be included
  • Excessive highlighting, underlining, or other markings will impact the value and may cause no buy back value
  • Textbooks with water or liquid stains have no buy back value
  • Loose-leaf texts have no buy back value

Supply and Demand

If an instructor has requested a textbook for the next semester, there is a retail value for the book of approximately 50% of the purchase price.

  • Books at retail value will be purchased at this level until Bookstore stock limit is met
  • Books are valued at wholesale price when the Bookstore has reached the stock limit
