How to Apply for Financial Aid
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the common application for all financial aid programs. The FAFSA must be completed online at www.fafsa.gov. Students must file a FAFSA each year they plan to attend college. Students who file applications as soon as possible after January 1 have an advantage since ATCC processes requests for aid as they are received. Assistance completing the FAFSA is available by contacting the Financial Aid Office.
Applying for financial aid is easy.
- Get an FSA ID.
Create an FSA ID and password at fsaid.ed.gov. If parent data is required on the FAFSA, one parent must also create an FSA ID and password in order to sign the FAFSA electronically. If more than one child is attending college, the parent can use the same FSA ID to sign all applications. Please note: Each FSA ID user must have a unique email address. The FSA ID is used to confirm student identity when accessing financial aid information and is an electronic signature for federal student aid documents.
