Persons interested in the
Diesel Mechanics program should have a strong interest in mechanical
equipment. High school classes and/or mechanical work experience can be
helpful so the working conditions of a mechanic are understood. Repair
orders, parts orders, warranty reports and failure analysis information
are all necessary in repair shops today. Therefore, good writing and
record keeping skills are helpful.
