Trained Medication Aide (TMA)
Are you currently working as a nursing assistant in one of the following settings – long term care, group home, chemical dependency, Department of Corrections – and would like a career advancement?
Then becoming a Trained Medication Aide (TMA) is for you! As a TMA, you will be trained in the science of drugs and their uses and actions within the body. This course also includes correct techniques in administration of medication under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. Students are highly encouraged to be sponsored by their facility.
