How to Begin
All Other Applicants
Application:
You will first need to fill out an application. Applications can be filled out online, printed, or you may request an application be sent to you by mail.
Campus Visit:
We invite you to make a campus visit by calling 1-888-234-1222 ext. 4520, 320-762-4520, or email us to schedule an appointment. Making an appointment ensures an instructor and/or an enrollment specialist will be available to meet with you.
An important part of choosing the right college is to make a campus visit. Campus visits are scheduled Monday-Friday. During your visit, you will meet with an instructor from the program(s) you are interested in. The instructor will give you a tour of the program area, explain required courses, discuss industry/career options, and answer your questions. Additionally you will meet with an enrollment specialist who will explain the acceptance process, program costs, financial aid, housing, student life activities, school calendar, and other services offered by the college. It is our goal at the end of your visit that you will have the information necessary to make your final decision.
If you choose to apply online or send in a paper application, the Admissions Office will invite you to come for a campus visit.
Many programs that fill up quickly require a campus visit, so please don't wait to schedule a visit!
Transcripts:
A copy of your high school transcript or GED is necessary. You may download a High School Transcript Request Form to send to your high school.
If you have received credits during or after high school from another college, we will need to have an official transcript mailed to us. If you attended a MnSCU College, you may not need to request your transcript. Your transcript may automatically be available within the MnSCU system. To view which institutions are part of the MnSCU system please visit http://mnscu.edu/campuses/. You may use the College Transcript Request Form to request other college transcripts to be sent to us.
If you have transfer questions, please contact the Transfer Specialist, at transfer@alextech.edu, 888-234-1222, Ext. 4483 or 320-762-4483.
Application Fee:
There is a $20 non-refundable application fee for enrollment into any of our programs & majors. The application fee does not need to be paid until you want to secure a spot in a program.
Additional Program Requirements:
These may be requested prior to your visit or will be discussed at the campus visit and vary by program.
