Applying for Admission
Alexandria Technical & Community College is a premier two year college. As part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, ATCC is a public, open enrollment institution. ATCC has technical, career, and transfer degrees available in traditional and distance learning environments.
Start by completing an application. If you are one of the following, please select your option for more information.
Schedule a campus visit by calling 888-234-1222 ext. 4520, 320-762-4520, or email. Making an appointment ensures an instructor and/or an enrollment specialist will be available to meet with you.
An important part of choosing the right college is to make a campus visit. Campus visits are scheduled Monday-Friday. During your visit, you will meet with an instructor from the program(s) you are interested in. The instructor will give you a tour of the program area, explain required courses, discuss industry/career options, and answer your questions. Additionally you will meet with an enrollment specialist who will explain the acceptance process, program costs, financial aid, housing, student life activities, school calendar, and other services offered by the college.
Upon receiving your application, the Admissions Office will invite you to come for a campus visit.
Many programs that fill up quickly require a campus visit, so please don't wait!
A copy of your high school transcript or GED is necessary. You may download a High School Transcript Request Form to send to your high school.
If you have received credits during or after high school from another college, you must have an official transcript mailed to ATCC. If you attended a MnSCU college or university, you may not need to request your transcript. Your transcript may automatically be available. To view which institutions are part of MnSCU, please visit http://mnscu.edu/campuses/. You may use the College Transcript Request Form to request other college transcripts to be sent to ATCC.
If you have transfer questions, please contact the Transfer Specialist at firstname.lastname@example.org, 888-234-1222, ext. 4483 or 320-762-4483.
There is a $20 non-refundable application fee for enrollment into any of our programs and majors. The application fee does not need to be paid until you want to secure a spot in a program.
Additional Program Requirements:
These may be requested prior to your visit or will be discussed at the campus visit and vary by program.
