Program Overview
This program includes 24 technical credits preparing child care professionals to respond to the needs and uniqueness of children and families. The 24 technical credits may vary slightly depending on requirements of the receiving transfer institution. The program also includes 40 general education credits from within the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC). The general education courses must complete the ten goal areas of the MnTC and are universally transferable to all institutions in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.
Qualifications
The Child Development Associate in Science (AS) degree is intended for students who want to transfer to complete a four-year degree. This degree is 64 credits in length. High school courses in math and science are beneficial but not required.
