According to the Knight-Ridder analysis from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and U.S. Commerce Department, the LPN is one of the top 30 "hot jobs for the future." Projections from US Department of Labor are one million new nurses will be needed by 2010. ATCC graduates are employed in hospitals, long-term care facilities, medical clinics, home health agencies, or wherever nursing services are needed.
Employment
Students must obtain a grade of "C" or better in each course to be eligible to graduate. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to take the licensure examination. Once graduates are licensed, the title Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) may be used. LPNs find employment in hospitals, long term care facilities, doctors' offices, home health services, public health agencies or wherever nursing services are needed.
