The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has included the paralegal profession as one of the fastest growing professions in the country. Currently there are substantially more employment opportunities for paralegals in private practice firms than in any other legal environment.

Employment

The U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, projects the paralegal occupation will have faster than average growth in the coming years. Private law firms continue to be the largest employers of paralegals, but opportunities also exist with state and federal government agencies, legal aid offices, banks, realty agencies, insurance companies, corporate legal departments, as well as freelancing.
