The Paralegal program trains men and women to assume a broad range of responsibilities in an exciting, diverse, and respected profession. Students will develop analytical, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills essential to the successful paralegal. Paralegals perform substantive legal work under the direct supervision of an attorney and work in all areas of law. This program focuses on the legal principles of civil litigation, criminal procedures, estate planning, probate, real estate law, family law, business organizations in Minnesota, bankruptcy, debtor/creditor law, evidence, exhibit preparation, investigation, client interviewing, and legal writing.
