Work Study Employment

Work study is a need based job program and eligibility is determined by completing the (FAFSA) Free Application for Federal Student Aid. During the academic year, students must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits to hold a work study position. To determine if you are eligible to obtain a work study job, contact the Financial Aid office.

A listing of current job opportunities is listed below. Jobs are on-campus or off-campus with non-profit employers. The hourly wage for all work study jobs is $11.50/hr. Purpose
Assist in shelving and organizing library collection materials. This person reads shelves, shelf checks items, and help customers locate materials. The work requires an understanding of how the library is organized.
Duties
This is an indirect service provider helping to maintain the availability of library materials by shelving books and other materials, reading the shelves and organizing materials into their proper sequence. Answers in-person inquiries, helps customers locate needed materials and refers customers to other staff for assistance. Must be able to lift, pull, push and arrange library materials up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, kneel, stoop, and squat.
Qualifications
Ability to follow written and oral instructions, learn the Dewey Decimal system, and other library filing systems, and have attention to detail.
