These resources must be used and managed responsibly in order to ensure their availability. This policy establishes responsibilities for acceptable use of ATCC information technology resources.

ATCC information technology resources are provided for currently enrolled students, employees, and other authorized users. The use of ATCC information technology resources, both on campus and remote, must adhere to this policy and any procedures or guidelines adopted pursuant to this policy.

Alexandria Technical and Community College reserves the right to review users' electronic data, Internet use, and communications to protect the integrity of campus technologies against inappropriate use that is not related to educational or professional activities and to protect authorized users from the effects of unauthorized or inappropriate use.

Nothing in this policy shall be interpreted to expand, diminish, or alter academic freedom articulated under Minnesota State Board policy and collective bargaining agreements, or the terms of any charter establishing a system library as a community or public library.
