CJ Erickson was born and raised in Alexandria, MN. He was fortunate to be involved in the early years of the Exercise Science program here at Alexandria Technical and Community College where he learned his true passion of working in the fitness industry. He completed his four-year degree in Health Fitness from Gustavus Adolphus College in 2009 and went on to complete his Master of Science degree from California University of Pennsylvania in 2016 with the sole goal of teaching at this institution.

He has worked in the fitness industry since 2009 primarily as a personal trainer, gaining incredible experience with hundreds of clients ranging in age from 7 to 87, with all varieties of goals. Throughout his career, he found every opportunity possible to enhance his skills through certifications and continuing education in order to provide the best service possible to his clients and now his students. CJ's mission is to develop passionate and intentional professionals to make a positive impact on society.

Jason Fischer was born in California and grew up in Fergus Falls. He is a graduate of Fergus Falls Community College, where he played Football for two years and baseball for one. He played one year of baseball at North Hennepin Community College. He transferred to St Cloud State University, where he played for the Huskies baseball team and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Community Psychology. He continued on to earn a Master’s Degree from SCSU in Physical education and Sports Management.

His first job was as the Coordinator of the Wellness requirement at SCSU, where he taught and coordinated the Wellness classes. He moved to St. Cloud Technical and Community College to start the Physical Education department and to coach baseball. After 10 years at SCTCC, Jason came to Alexandria Technical and Community College to start the baseball program and work in the Exercise Science department. Jason’s mission is to challenge students to think freely and objectively in order to prepare them for their future roles in society.
