Pneumatics Lab

The learning objectives of Pneumatics MecLab

Automation technology is one of the most challenging subjects because of its complexity. It cannot be taught through lectures alone. Students must be given hands-on practice with automated technical systems in order to observe and understand how subsystems and components interact. They must be able to disassemble and assemble a system.

Learning outcomes emphasized in the Pneumatic lab are:

  • Using technical terms correctly
  • Planning, developing and setting up technical systems
  • Understanding and using technical documentation; creating and using schematic diagrams, circuit diagrams, parts lists and technical drawings
  • Building models and creating simulations
  • System thinking and understanding the interactions of subsystems
  • Developing and constructing electric, electronic and pneumatic circuits
  • Understanding and using pneumatic and electrical actuators, sensors and controllers
  • Developing skills in the use of automated systems.
  • Developing skills in the commissioning and maintenance of automated technical systems
  • Developing skills in the Troubleshooting of automated technical systems
  • students are given the opportunity to work with technology, investigate its effects and discover their own capabilities
