Be it a gallon of milk, a package from Amazon, or a part for a car needing to be repaired it takes a truck to get it to where it needs to go. Since its birth in the early 20th century, the trucking industry has been a staple in moving goods and supporting the U.S. economy. Alexandria Technical and Community College has been supporting the trucking industry since 1965 when the college’s diesel technician program was created.

A representative from the National Alliance on Mental Illness Minnesota (NAMI MN) will be on campus in room 209 on September 12, 2023, to present Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) training. There will be two sessions, the first one at 12-1:30 p.m. and the second 5:30-7:00 p.m. This is a free workshop open to all Students and Employees.

Alexandria Technical and Community College continues to be a pioneer in higher education in Minnesota by establishing an archery team, becoming the first 2-year college in Minnesota to offer competitive archery through USA Archery's Collegiate Archery Program.

Students in the carpentry program will be building a house using Habitat's plans and materials in Alexandria, Minn. Habitat for Humanity is calling the build the Legends Build in honor of the partnership with Alexandria College Legends.

As the role of police officers continues to evolve in response to changing community needs, it is important that the training and education for peace officers remain up-to-date. In pursuit of this goal, Alexandria Technical and Community College's Police Training and Education program hosted a two-day instructor development course, August 17 to 18, which offered a comprehensive curriculum intended for both novice and experienced trainers.
