Alexandria Technical and Community College is renewing its partnership with Habitat for Humanity. Students in the carpentry program will be building a house using Habitat's plans and materials in Alexandria, Minn. Habitat for Humanity is calling the build the Legends Build in honor of the partnership with Alexandria College Legends.

"We are excited to be working again with the carpentry program to increase our capacity to serve more families," said Lori Anderson, Habitat Executive Director.

This project gives carpentry students real-world hands-on experience while helping give back to the community. The build will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of residential construction. The project will begin in September and continue throughout the 2023-2024 academic year.

“We are very happy to be partnering with Habitat for Humanity again this year. Increased enrollment in our Carpentry program allows us to work on a Habitat house. This is a great project for our students and a great partnership for the college," said Michael Seymour, president of Alexandria Technical & Community College.
