Transferring to Alexandria is a simple process. After you apply for admissions to the college, you need to request your official college transcript(s) be sent to ATCC's Registrar's Office. Once your transcript arrives, the Transfer Specialist will evaluate your previous coursework to determine which courses meet your ATCC program requirements. See the Alexandria Technical & Community College transfer policy for specific details on course transferability or contact the Transfer Specialist.
Minnesota Transfer is a website that contains resources, information, and tools to assist students, transfer specialists, and educators in understanding transfer options, the transfer process, transfer pathways, and transfer agreements.

When you complete the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum, the entire block of curriculum transfers to any Minnesota State institution, and the courses are generally accepted by most other public and private colleges. Courses outside of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum are evaluated on an individual basis. It is the student's responsibility to provide course descriptions or outlines to a future college.
Another transfer option is to earn an Associate of Science (AS) or an Associate of Arts (AA) degree. AS degrees are widely accepted at four-year institutions as the first two years of a Bachelor's degree. Financial aid is available for eligible students pursuing AA and AS degrees.
