POLICY STATEMENT

Alexandria Technical and Community College provides students with opportunities to demonstrate competence at the college-level from learning gained through learning experiences outside of a college or university credit-bearing course and has established a consistent practice for evaluating and awarding undergraduate credit for prior learning. Prior learning may include, but is not limited to, military training or service, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), College-Level Examination Program (CLEP), and other national standardized assessments with ACE credit recommendations. Credit may be awarded to students who receive a satisfactory score on the exam and present the college with an official score report.
