Scholarships

The Alexandria Technical & Community College Foundation is committed to providing scholarship funds for students attending the college. The Foundation awards over $300,000 in scholarships each year to deserving and qualified students. With one application for all Foundation awards, including the high value Workforce Development and Workplace Learning scholarships, it's easy to apply. Get started:

  • General Scholarships

    ATCC offers scholarships for fall and spring semester through an online process. When applications are open, click on the “Apply online now” button to access the online application.

    Fall Semester Awards:

    Application open January 1 to April 1

    Spring Semester Awards:

    Application open mid-September to November 1


    Things to know BEFORE starting the online scholarship process:

    • Know the degree you are planning to obtain (AA, AAS, Diploma, etc.)
    • Know your 8-digit ATCC student ID number OR your StarID.
    • Use your most recent cumulative GPA
    • Email address of a reference to fill out a letter of recommendation for you

  • Workforce Development Scholarships: Up to $2,500

    ATCC students admitted to select manufacturing, healthcare and information technology programs leading to high demand occupations may be eligible for a $2,500 scholarship. Special requirements apply.

    Workplace Learning Scholarships: Up to $5,000

    ATCC students admitted to Machine Tool Technology, Marine, Motorcycle, & Powersports Technician, Mechatronics, or Professional Truck Driver may be eligible for up to $5,000 in scholarships + matching funds ($1,250 for Professional Truck Driver).

    Machine Tool and Mechatronics students will also have the opportunity to interview for paid summer employment with area industry partners. Special requirements apply.

General Information

  • Awards are made with preference given to high school graduates or equivalent. PSEO students may apply for scholarships, and may be awarded a scholarship if no other high school graduates (or equivalent) have applied.
  • ATCC Foundation scholarship awards are based on funds available.
  • ATCC Foundation scholarship awards are included in the total financial aid award. For more financial aid information click here.
  • If a scholarship recipient withdraws before award, he or she will relinquish rights to further benefit under the scholarship award.

Notification/Disbursement

In general, applicants will be notified of awards via email within 4 weeks of the deadline.
