Alexandria Technical & Community College will auction off a house built by the Carpentry Program students. Auction proceeds go back into the carpentry program, funding materials, equipment, and next year’s build.

Carpentry House Auction

The house is an Energy Efficient, 3BR Rambler with Cantilevered Floor. The building area is 1430 square feet (28' x 50').

Purchaser Expectations

BIDDING
  • Minimum bid: $115,000
  • Bid increments: $1,000
PURCHASE
  • Purchaser will provide $5,000 earnest money at auction, check payable to Alexandria Technical & Community College.
  • Purchase agreement must be signed on or before June 28, 2024 at 3:00 pm.
PAYMENT
  • Balance of bid price paid by 4:00 pm on August 2, 2024.
  • Balance payment includes Minnesota state sales tax of 7.375 on 65% of the purchase price, and all closing costs. Earnest money will be applied toward purchase price.
POSSESSION
  • Once purchase agreement is executed, buyer must arrange for and pay for removal of house from college property. Buyer must maintain insurance.
