Each year, Wallethub ranks more than 650 of the top community colleges in the nation. Alexandria Technical & Community College is honored to be named #1 Community College in Minnesota, and ranked #8 in the United States. The Minnesota State system was ranked #11 overall.

This is the second year in a row ATCC has been ranked in the top 10 nationwide by WalletHub, and our third year in the Top 20.

Alexandria was named Best Minnesota Town by Minnesota Monthly Magazine earlier this year - making ATCC officially the Best Minnesota College in the Best Minnesota Town.

“It’s no secret that ATCC provides value to its students," said Jeff Wild, VP of Advancement & Outreach, "but this recognition proves just how valuable an in-depth, hands-on education can be when it comes to job placement and career earnings. We’re honored to be recognized nationally by WalletHub again this year!”

ATCC was ranked #5 in the nation for career outcomes, which factor in graduates' income after graduation and student loan default rates. 

Rankings for the WalletHub list were determined from a sample of 698 colleges from the list of member institutions in the American Association of Community Colleges. WalletHub is a financial website, so the rankings focus on colleges providing the most value in three key metric areas: Cost & Financing, Education Outcomes, and Career Outcomes. Program Accolades 

In addition to our national ranking from WalletHub, three individual programs received recognition from GradReports for graduates earning higher than average starting salary:

• Diesel Mechanics ranked #4 in the nation
• Communication Art & Design ranked #5 in the nation
• Law Enforcement ranked #20 in the nation
