Fall Fundraiser Receives Overwhelming Community Support

Oct 9, 2020 | 3:51 PM

Alexandria Technical & Community College (ATCC) Foundation hosted the 2020 Athletics & Academics Fall Fundraiser on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 featuring an exciting and entertaining trick shooting performance by The Gould Brothers.

This new fundraising event also included live and silent auctions, a beer and wine pull game, a closest-to-the-pin clay throwing competition, and demonstrations by ATCC athletes.  ATCC is the reigning MCAC clay target champion, the only 2-year college in Minnesota with nationally competitive eSports, and the only NJCAA D2 golf program in the state.

The response from the Alexandria area community was spectacular. A sold-out crowd attended the event, held at the Alexandria Shooting Park. The outpouring of community support and generosity of attendees helped the ATCC Foundation achieve its goal in raising funds for academic and athletic scholarships for students at ATCC.

“We wanted to try something different, yet keep our attendees safe”, said Jeff Wild, Executive Director of the ATCC Foundation.  “This event allowed us to be outdoors, showcase our athletes and be entertained by the Gould Brothers.  It was very well received by all the attendees.”
