Eight Legends Competitive Fishing teams hit Lake Chippewa on October 7, with most boats weighing in 10-20 bass for the evening.

Jared Haugen of Plainview and Jon Kicker of Menahga led the teams with a total of 15.14 pounds for their top six fish. Ben Busch and Zach Hauser were in second place with 14.97 pounds, and Tony Dettman and Zach Husaby were close behind with 14.43 pounds.

Josh Berzinski of Thief River Falls had the evening’s biggest fish at 4.15 pounds.

“It was another great event for the Legends fishing team,” said coach Joe Scegura. “Most boats weighed in 10-20 bass for the evening, and quite a few large fish were caught. The fishing this time of year is tough to beat, so it was great for the students to experience this firsthand.”
