Law Enforcement career fair draws 80+ agencies, hundreds of students

Alexandria College law enforcement students had a unique career opportunity to interact with over 80 policing agencies spanning the upper Midwest plus several federal law enforcement agencies.

This was an amazing chance for the students to network and gain knowledge from experienced professionals in the field. The students were able to attend presentations from various departments, which gave them an insight into the workings of each department and their respective roles. They also got the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the different challenges that each department faces.

The day ended with an external training opportunity regarding animal cruelty investigations. This training saw officers from other Minnesota departments in attendance, making it an excellent platform for officers to network and learn from one another. The training covered the latest techniques and methods for investigating animal cruelty cases and provided officers with hands-on experience and practical training. This type of training is vital for law enforcement officers as it helps them stay updated with the latest techniques and methods, which can be critical in successfully solving cases.
