Law Enforcement Skills Graduates - Summer 2023

Each summer, the Law Enforcement Skills program brings students from across the upper Midwest to our campus to learn the hands-on practical skills needed to be a peace officer. This year more than 60 students received their Law Enforcement Skills Certificate.

In addition to students from Alexandria College, this year we welcomed students from Bemidji State University, Inver Hills College, Leech Lake Tribal College, Mankato State, M State, Minnesota State University Moorhead, North Dakota State University, Rasmussen University, Ridgewater College, St. Cloud State University, Southwest Minnesota State University, U of M Crookston, University of North Dakota, University of St. Mary's, University of St. Thomas, Winona State University.

Jennifer Vipond, Chief Deputy of the Grant County Sheriff's Office, addressed the students prior to the presentation of their awards.

A graduation and recognition ceremony was held for this year's Law Enforcement Skills graduates on Friday, July 7. Carter Meiners of Long Prairie earned the high PT score with 99.3%, and Lane West of Ulen earned high firearms with 97.2%. This year's Law Enforcement Skills graduates are:
