Alexandria Area High School hosts the West Central Technology Conference.

Alexandria Area High School hosted over 330 IT professionals, more than 40 vendors, and 15 sponsors for the West Central Technology Conference on July 26, 2023.

"By the looks of the turnout, we weren’t the only ones excited to get this rolling again,” said Steve Richards, the chief information officer at Alexandria College.

Richards, Sue Laubach, the technology coordinator for Osakis Public Schools, and Kevin Brezina, the director of technology for Alexandria Public Schools, are the lead planners and coordinators of the event.

The conference hosts IT professionals, business leaders, and education professionals from across the state and even draws professionals from North Dakota, South Dakota, and Nebraska.

The conference began with a keynote speaker: Clare Richards, the CEO of Impacks. After the keynote speaker, attendees could network, meet with vendors, and attend breakout sessions. During the breakout sessions, industry experts share knowledge and tactics to support growth and development.
