Alexandria Technical and Community College Foundation hosted its annual Legends Gala at Crooked Willow on Friday, October 3, 2025. The gala raised funds for the new transportation center, a space that will provide opportunities for hands-on learning, connection, and growth for our students.

Community leaders, donors, alumni, friends of the college, and past college presidents attended the event. The evening began with a social hour, followed by dinner catered by Pioneer Grill Catering and entertainment provided by Blonde & The Bohunk.

The Alexandria College’s Foundation recognized the 2025 Philanthropists of the Year, Jan Mahoney and ORB Management who were honored for their continued support of the college.

Special guest speakers included Senator Amy Klobuchar, Michael Seymour, President of Alexandria College, and Sam Becker, a graduate of Professional Truck Driving and current Diesel Mechanics student.

Becker, who represents the future of our workforce, graduated last spring from the Professional Truck Driving program and is now pursuing his passion in the Diesel Mechanics program. With help from scholarships, he is able to focus on his education without financial worry. Becker credits the dedicated instructors and the college’s hands-on learning environment for helping him build a strong foundation, and he looks forward to using his skills to one day open his own repair shop.

The Alexandria College Foundation extends a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported the Legends Gala. The funds raised will support the new Transportation Center which will directly impact our students, community, and beyond.

At Alexandria College, we believe The Best is Yet to Come, and together, we are building a future filled with opportunity, innovation, and promise.

We look forward to celebrating together again at the sixth annual Legends Gala on Friday, October 2, 2026.
