Hill, who was referred to the organization by ATCC colleague and team bus driver Monte Hintzmann, says the decision was rooted in a lifelong commitment to service.
“I come from a family that always instilled the value into me of serving one’s community,” Hill shared. “The Elks Lodge in Alexandria is a great opportunity for me to do that.”
Hill’s family has long been active in civic organizations such as the VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Club, church and park boards, and various athletic committees. His own dedication to service aligns well with the mission of the Elks, whose motto is Elks Care, Elks Share. The Minnesota Elks Association supports youth camps, veterans services, scholarships, drug awareness programs, and other community investment initiatives.
The Alexandria Elks Lodge is also a frequent supporter of Jennie’s Cupboard, a campus-based resource that provides food and essentials to students in need, making Hill’s membership a meaningful bridge between ATCC and broader community efforts.
Coach Hill’s involvement is a welcome reminder of the power of local partnerships and the impact of service-minded leadership both on and off the field.
