ATCC Veterans Services Staff Present at National Military Educators Conference

Staff from Alexandria Technical & Community College's Veterans Services office recently took their work to a national stage, presenting at the Council of College and Military Educators annual conference on how technology is transforming support for military-connected students.
Alexandria Technical & Community College’s Veterans Services team was recently represented at the Council of College and Military Educators (CCME) annual conference, where staff presented on using technology to better support military-connected students.

Veteran Student Project Coordinator Braiden Mincey and Veterans Students Programs Specialist Macy Trousil shared how ATCC is leveraging tools such as data systems and digital communication platforms to improve student identification, streamline services, and strengthen engagement with veteran and military-connected students.

The presentation highlighted practical ways technology can help create a more connected and responsive support system, ensuring students receive timely and effective assistance throughout their academic journey.

Attending and presenting at CCME also provided an opportunity to connect with other institutions, share ideas, and bring back new strategies to continue enhancing veteran services at ATCC.
