The EDGE Leadership Experience was created to provide practical leadership development rooted in self-awareness, communication, decision-making, conflict navigation, workplace culture, and personal growth. The program was facilitated through interactive discussions, real-world application activities, peer learning, and coaching opportunities.
“One of the most rewarding parts of the EDGE Leadership Experience was watching participants fully engage in the activities, conversations, and leadership challenges throughout the program,” said Lynn Arnquist, EDGE Training Consultant at the EDGE Center of Innovation. “The class created a supportive environment where people felt comfortable sharing ideas, learning from each other, and growing together.”
Twenty-four participants represented a broad cross-section of industries and organizations, helping foster conversations and relationships that extended beyond individual workplaces and into the larger community.
The EDGE Leadership Experience was made possible through partnerships and sponsorship support from the Alexandria Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and the Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission, along with local businesses and community leaders committed to investing in leadership development throughout the region.
The program was built around the BetterCulture MindSet Leadership framework developed by Dr. Kim Hoogeveen.
Due to strong interest and positive feedback from participants, additional EDGE Leadership Experience cohorts are already scheduled for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027.
The EDGE Center of Innovation, part of Alexandria Technical & Community College, provides customized training, leadership development, workforce solutions, and professional education opportunities designed to support businesses, organizations, and individuals throughout the region.
