On April 17, 2026, the Alexandria Technical & Community College Foundation awarded the first Amber Czech Memorial Scholarship to Amber’s sister, Zoey, an Interior Design student at ATCC, in a meaningful tribute to Amber’s life and legacy. 

 

Amber Czech, a 2024 honors graduate of Alexandria Technical & Community College’s Welding program, passed away on November 11, 2025, at the age of 20. She was known for her dedication, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. Her natural precision was evident in the high-quality work she produced, and she took great pride in doing every job to the best of her ability. 

 

The scholarship was established to honor Amber’s passion for her trade and her commitment to excellence. She often said, “If you’re not going to do it right, don’t do it at all,” a mindset that guided both her work and her life. Those who knew her remember not only her talent, but also the pride and care she brought to everything she did. 

 

The Amber Czech Memorial Scholarship was created in partnership with Amber’s family to support students pursuing Welding Technology or other skilled trades at Alexandria Technical & Community College. The scholarship serves as a lasting tribute, helping future students follow in Amber’s footsteps and carry forward her legacy of hard work, precision, and craftsmanship. 

 

The Foundation is grateful to the Czech family for their partnership in creating this meaningful scholarship. Through this gift, Amber’s impact will continue to be felt for years to come in the lives of the students it supports.
