Zoom has a built-in feature to hide your environment and substitute a beautiful background photo. Feel free to use any of these photos as a background for your ATCC Zoom account. Backgrounds work best when used in an environment without bright, harsh light. If you have a window behind you, the background may not work well.
Instructions:
Note: Backgrounds with text will appear backwards to you, but will show correctly to other participants.
Web/video conferencing services are increasingly popular with the recent surge in telework, including at ATCC. While these services can be extremely effective in online teaching, learning and telecommunicating; there are risks for an unwanted disturbance (sometimes referred to as “Zoom-bombing”) during a video conferencing call, which can pose issues including but not limited to the distribution of inappropriate/offensive content or an unauthorized user’s access to non-public information. Fortunately, there are safeguards for our primary web conferencing services, Zoom and Microsoft teams, that you can put in place for your calls to prevent and stop such a disruption.
