POLICY STATEMENT

Alexandria Technical and Community College (ATCC) is authorized to operate in the State of Minnesota by the Minnesota State system as a technical and community college and is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Regional accreditation was granted to ATCC on January 1, 1980. Regional accreditation agencies are recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit degree-granting colleges and universities, which require that a set of standards must be met to maintain regional accredited status.

Programs requiring special state and/or national accreditation status are accredited as prescribed by the respective agencies listed below.

The Alexandria Technical & Community College Medical Laboratory Technician program is accredited by National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NA ACLS), the accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Commission on Recognition of Post-Secondary Accreditation (CORPA).
