GenCyber LogoThe Alexandria GenCyber Cybersecurity Academy is a 5-day virtual camp for students entering grades 9-12. The academy is funded through a grant from the National Security Agency and National Science Foundation, making it free of charge for 30 participants.

Experienced high school and college faculty will lead students through lessons and interactive cybersecurity activities from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. daily. The program will focus on cybersecurity concepts and cover a number of topics including:

  • Cybersecurity introduction and online safety
  • Hardware, operating systems, and programming
  • Networking, cryptography, and securing data
  • Ethical hacking
  • Computer careers and concepts review
