Sixteen students compete in International DECA competition
Students from the Accounting, Business Management and Marketing programs at Alexandria Technical and Community College competed at the DECA International Career Development Conference April 15-19, 2023 in Orlando, Florida.
Results are as follows:
- Top 10 Finalist in Fashion Merchandising and Management – Olivia Maday (Fashion Management/Business Management)
- Finalist in Business Ethics – Jacob Wagner (Business Management) and Logan Biggar (Business Management)
- Finalist in Financial Accounting – Brady Warren (Accounting)
- Finalist Managerial Accounting – Kimberly Jergenson (Accounting)
- Finalist Marketing Management – Kaylee Yamry (Marketing & Sales Management/Business Management)
- Executive Passport Chapter Award
Competitive events supported by DECA propel winners from local to state levels and finally to the international level. The success, confidence, recognition and awards that students earn in this program are crucial to their success in business careers.
DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
