Communication Design
Alexandria Technical & Community College offers a well-rounded program to prepare students for work in the field of communication design. Coursework includes graphic design and design technology, communication design, design production, and portfolio and capstone projects. A unique course blend allows students to choose from two add-on electives: web/UI or illustration. The innovative Design Production course goes beyond theory and gives students real-world experience problem solving and developing creative for actual clients.
Students will receive a brand new MacBook laptop to keep as part of this program.
Communication Design students have the opportunity to participate in the American Advertising Federation (AAF) American Advertising Awards, and in Collegiate DECA. Scholarships are available for students who participate in DECA.
