Writing Assistance
The Writer's Block, located in room 305, offers the following writing assistance:
- Appointment-based, face-to-face tutoring sessions free of charge for students, staff, or faculty
- Helpful feedback, advice, general tips, suggestions, or ideas on any type of paper, resume, or application
- Feedback - via email - for students who send their written work as a Word attachment to Email The Writer's Block: writersblock@alextech.edu. The body of the email must include specific questions for the consultants to answer. (The Writer's Block does not proofread papers, either online or in person. The consultants teach people to proofread their own work.)
- Word processing and online researching assistance
The Writer's Block maintains a no-show policy to keep its schedule as open as possible for students serious about their learning.
