Carl has 20+ years of experience in the transportation industry. This experience includes being a driver (including school bus, large tow trucks, flatbed, cement truck, dump truck and Doubles/Triples). It also includes being an owner/operator, and a Sr. Logistics Manager for a Fortune 500 company where he managed multiple operations across 15 western states with a concentrated focus on safety and continuous improvement. While with this company, he received the honors of being the Western Region Driver of the Year and was the Safety Chairperson for Accident/Injury Investigation and Prevention.

Carl's career in education started in 2006. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education, graduating with honors from Bemidji State University. His passions for trucking, safety, and education have combined together here at Alexandria Technical & Community College. During his combined time as a truck driving instructor, he has helped approximately 1000 students get their CDL and start their career as a professional truck driver.

Beyond working at the college, Carl enjoys boating, kayaking, camping, hunting, and fishing with family in the Brainerd Lakes area. Carl and his wife Katie have two college-aged boys, CJ and Noah.

Andy is a 1994 graduate of Alexandria Technical & Community College's Diesel program who has over 20 years of experience in diesel mechanics and is a fully certified Cummins technician. His expertise is in recreational vehicles, heavy equipment, medium duty trucks, and heavy Duty trucks. Much of his experience comes from working for a regionally well-known company with a three-state presence.

Andy has also been working for an area excavation company since 2002. This experience includes heavy equipment operation, dump truck/end dump driving, heavy equipment transportation including load securement, and over dimensional loads both inter- (single) and intra- (multiple) -state.

Andy is a member of the Freeport Volunteer Fire Department, but his favorite past-time is camping. He enjoys camping at the North Shore, Harmony (touring with the Amish), and Ely. He also enjoys spending time with his wife Holly and 5 children: Evan, Marnie, Ellie, Bria, and Oliver.
