The collaboration, which previously focused on three associate degrees in engineering, will add three new health-focused degree programs: an Associate of Science in Health Science, an Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare Management, and an Associate of Science in Behavioral Health.
"This expansion represents the natural evolution of our partnership with ATCC," said Dr. Randi R. Cosentino, President of USNCC. "The addition of health science programming will enable service members to develop critical medical skills that enhance operational readiness across all maritime services."
"The partnership expansion benefits both institutions' strategic objectives," said Dr. Tamara Arnott, ATCC Associate Vice President of Workforce Development. "The health science programming represents a strategic alignment between our institutional strengths and workforce development priorities."
Concurrent with the health science USNCC partnership expansion, ATCC is launching its Center for Veteran Student Success (CEVSS), a comprehensive support initiative designed to enhance services for both veteran and active military students. The center will provide a single point of contact for wraparound services including academic support, career guidance, and community-building opportunities for both on-campus and globally located online active military and student veterans.
These new initiatives complement ATCC's existing Global Military Learning Network, which provides veterans and active military service members with accelerated degree pathways that award credit for military training and experience. The network offers specialized bridge programs in healthcare, cybersecurity, engineering, and other high-demand fields, along with no-cost refresher courses and dedicated success coaching designed specifically for military students. Students with military training in occupations that align with academic programs can receive significant academic credit for their prior experience, reducing both the cost and time to graduation. "As a global college with significant experience supporting the military services and their members, ATCC values the character, work ethic, and experience that these students bring to our community," said Dr. Tamara Arnott, ATCC Associate Vice President of Workforce Development. "This expanding relationship is a chance to broaden access to higher education and improve the lives of this important group even more."
