Learn the principles and practices of sciences associated with exercise, human performance, nutrition, and lifestyle coaching. Scientific areas of study include anatomy, physiology/exercise physiology, and kinesiology. Additional coursework explores exercise techniques, athletic performance, fitness program design, applications for special populations, and energy metabolism. This program is also designed for seamless transfer to additional post-secondary education for those students who are seeking employment in professions requiring a bachelors, masters, or doctorate degree. Exercise Science curriculum actively prepares students for a credentialing exam from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. The NSCA-CPT certification is accredited by the NCCA, recognized as an industry "gold standard."
